When Shutterfly had their New Year’s sale, I knew it was the perfect chance to use up a $20 credit I had received with one of my baby registries. Of course, I wanted a photo book but didn’t really have one ready to go, so it was the perfect time to print out my layouts from my
31 30 17 Days of Creative Prayer.
There is definitely some a little bit exciting about seeing that orange box on the front porch.
Ooh, shiny. I really should’ve used a template to make the front line up better, though.
Since Shutterfly requires at least 20 pages for photobooks and I only had 18 with my title page, I added a flyleaf page by using a piece of patterned scrapbook paper.
I am pretty happy with how the book turned out, but I wish I could find a 10″ x 10″ printing option. I made some 12″ x 12″ prints and they feel ever so slightly too big to me, but the 8″ x 8″ book feels ever so slightly too small.
I love having my digital work printed, though. I don’t think this project really felt finished until I held this photobook in my hands.
Do you print your digital layouts? What’s your favorite format? If you have any advice or tips, please leave them for me in the comments.
